Publicis Groupe unveils new paid leave policies and remote working initiative

Publicis Groupe ANZ today announced a raft of new paid leave entitlements, and remote working initiative, Publicis Re’Union, which will enable employees to temporarily work interstate or overseas to spend time with immediate family members.

Publicis Groupe ANZ CEO, Michael Rebelo says: “Our approach at Publicis has always been about finding ways to help our people fit work into their lives, and not the other way round. After a challenging stretch of lockdowns in Australia and New Zealand, we wanted to give staff the opportunity to reunite with their loved ones for a period of time, while also providing them with the option to continue working or take extended leave. Further, as part of our acknowledgement of people’s varied, lived experiences we have reviewed our leave policies to ensure we have an inclusive support framework that reflects our diverse workforce.”

The new paid leave entitlements include Gender Affirmation Leave (10 days), Domestic and Family Violence Leave (10 days), Fertility Treatment Leave (10 days), Miscarriage Leave (5 days) and an increase in Compassionate Leave (5 days). The company also recently announced the change from Personal Leave to Wellbeing Leave, in recognition that when people get sick, it can be for physical or mental health reasons.

Publicis Re’Union will be available to ANZ staff until the end of 2022.

Pauly Grant, Publicis Groupe ANZ’s Chief Talent Officer adds: “Through the success of our existing flexible working philosophy and framework Publicis Liberté, which launched in 2019, we have been able to expand our work options for staff with ease and minimal impact. We understand that within our lifetime, everyone has different personal challenges to face. We hope the additional leave entitlements will provide further support to our people’s overall wellbeing.”
