Phantom Billstickers has gone the extra step to catch attention with its latest work for the new Birds of Prey movie. The striking visuals of the movie and posters are exaggerated by bespoke murals done by local artists.
The film itself has a striking use of colour and visuals, and Phantom has gone one step further by bringing that colour to the streets. Although this level of detail took extra work, Billstickers marketing manager, Ben Stonyer, says the team enjoyed the challenge.
“While it can be tricky to find the right artists and coordinate artworks, we have the connections to make things happen at short notice. With a film like Birds of Prey, there’s the opportunity to create an experience at street level – and that certainly whips up excitement for the film’s opening,” said Stonyer.
Stephanie Cornwall OMD Account Manager, says it’s one thing to have a bright idea, but the real artistry lies in being able to execute it.
“The vibrant, urban feel of the film was a perfect fit for street posters, so it was fantastic to go one step further and portray this through a bespoke site takeover. The Phantom team were proactive and enthusiastic about bringing this creative execution to life, which made the collaboration smooth and enjoyable.”
Bespoke murals and one-off installations offer marketers the opportunity to differentiate their campaigns and build excitement into launches.
