JCDecaux uses nationwide network to say thank you

The ‘Thank You’ campaign by OOH company, JCDecaux, saw a series of kind messages directed at our essential workers and everyday Kiwis for their sacrifices during Covid-19.

Seen all across the OOH network which spans New Zealand, the digital boards are programmed to represent the suburb they’re in. Specifically targeting each area and sending heartfelt messages down onto the streets.

The campaign praised both essential workers and the everyday Kiwi, sayings included;

  • Thanks <suburb> for being good neighbours #BeKind
  • Good on you parents of <suburb> #HomeSchooling2020
  • Keep it up <suburb> #WeAreInThisTogether
  • Stay connected <suburb> #UniteAgainstCOVID-19
  • Staying in is the new going out in <suburb> #UniteAgainstCOVID-19

JCDecaux ANZ senior insights and strategy specialist, Victoria Parsons, says the thanks was extended past essentials works, as each most individuals have made large sacrifices to help flatten the curve.

“As all of us are facing tremendous upheaval and uncertainty, there are many Kiwis working tirelessly in essential services ensuring we are all cared for. There are also a huge number of New Zealanders who are unfailingly respecting our lockdown laws and social distancing regulations, looking after neighbours and homeschooling their children as many parents work from home. All are true heroes and our hope is they see this campaign and know we are also recognising and applauding them for all of their contributions – big and small.

“In these unsettling times, our ability to be a platform for good is at its most powerful – which is why we are using our network to say, ‘Thank You’. Our role right now is to help connect, support and educate communities.”
