Google gives Dr Who some doodle love

Google has commemorated the 50th anniversary of Dr Who by creating a doodle in honour of the popular television show. In addition to featuring cartoon versions of 11 of the characters, the doodle also has an interactive element in the form of a vintage video game.

After clicking on the play button in the doodle, you are prompted to select a character to use to solve a series of six puzzles as quickly as possible. In each of the six levels, you are required to collect a letter of the word Google, which then enables you to teleport to the next level via the phone booth.

The 4,351 fans who signed the change.org petition asking Google to create a Dr Who doodle will no doubt be delighted with the end product.

Prime also recently celebrated the event with a competition that enabled fans to send a voice recording to the moon
