
Deep Media expands into New Zealand
Deep Media, an Advanced Amazon Ads Partner, has officially launched in New Zealand with the appointment of Anna Walker and Lisa Ison as joint country leads.
Together, they will run local operations and help brands and agencies reach relevant audiences on Prime Video at scale.
Walker has held senior roles at MediaWorks NZ, Starcom and The Strategy Agency. She has been leading Deep Media’s local presence since August, working with independent agencies and small-to-medium brands to test and scale their Amazon Ads activity.
Ison joins with extensive experience from leadership roles at Sky and MediaWorks NZ. She also currently serves as chair of the IAB NZ Emerging Technology Council, giving her a unique perspective on the evolving streaming and ad tech landscape.
A significant shift
“Deep Media has been paving the way in Australia and it’s exciting to bring that same energy to New Zealand,” says Walker. “Independent agencies have been quick to embrace advertising on Prime Video and we’re already seeing how it delivers unique, incremental reach in CTV strategies.
“With premium content and live sports, Prime Video audiences are adding real weight to advertiser schedules and we’re only scratching the surface on what’s possible for advertisers across the wider Amazon canvas.”
Ison adds: “Amazon Ads entry into the New Zealand ad market marks a significant shift in the local media landscape.
“As of August, Prime Video became only the second SVOD platform in New Zealand to offer ad supported streaming, creating entirely new, insight-rich opportunities for advertisers. It’s reshaping how brands think about reach and relevantly connecting with their customers, and I’m excited to help Kiwi advertisers tap into that potential with Deep Media.”
A big moment
Deeo Media was founded in 2024 by former Amazon executives Paul Kent, Andrew Hammond and Blake Gorman. It helps brands and agencies advertisers maximise growth across Prime Video, IMDb, Twitch.
The group manages campaigns across ANZ, APAC, Europe and North America.
