The Compendium: 28 February

Stockholm-based agency Stopp has taken the digitisation of billboards to a whole new level by producing an outdoor ad that changes when a train arrives in the subway. As soon as the carriage passes it, the hair of the woman pictured in the ad blows into her face as though she’s actually standing in the station.

Over the course of a whole year, one man showed that he was up to his wife’s challenge of drawing a penis on her whiteboard every day. As repetitive as this may sound, the results are astoundingly creative.

Jimmy Fallon and Paul Rudd have an epic lip-synching battle that shows professional musicians how it should be done.

In this short clip that could easily double as an anti-drug campaign, three adults perform a bizarre dance routine that fits perfectly with a Benny Hill theme song.

In response to the increasing popularity of Tinder as a means to hook up, the creative agency Great from Israel decided to act. What they did was to create several fake profiles, and then guerilla attack unsuspecting users with a safe-sex message. Although the short video claims that the Twitter response was overwhelmingly positive, it’s highly unlikely that everyone that stumbled upon the covert campaign enjoyed the result.

Finding time for your bromances and your relationship can be difficult. Fortunately, through the magic of automated messaging and app technology, it just became a little easier to hang with the bros.

Halfway through last year, BG became the first Tweeting honey badger as part of a campaign organised by the Johannesburg Zoo in an effort to increase dwindling ticket sales. Over the course of the campaign, a series of sensors triggered pre-written Tweets that were immediately relevant to what the animal was doing at the time. Not only did this unconventional strategy result in increased zoo visits, it also garnered international attention as news agencies around the world picked up the story.

The Sun pushes a headline just about as far as it could go.
