WARC 100: Colenso BBDO and Special Group ranked best in New Zealand

The WARC Creative 100 and WARC Effective 100 results have been released with Colenso BBDO and Special Group New Zealand performing well on a global scale.

Colenso was awarded the ranking of 3rd most effective and 8th most creative agency in the world. Special Group also made the most effective list, with a ranking of 45th most effective in the world. It is also amongst the top most effective independent agencies in the world.

In terms of effective campaigns, Colenso’s ‘The Child Replacement Programme‘ for Pedigree was ranked 5th overall. In the same category, Special Group’s ‘Data Hunt‘ for 2degrees Mobile and Colenso’s ‘Beer Bottle Sand‘ for DB Export shared 43 equal while Lotto’s ‘Imagine’ campaign from DDB was ranked 64th.

Starcom Auckland was ranked 19th for media agency effectiveness while PHD Auckland was 34th. Auckland’s Track was ranked 42nd for digital/specialist agencies.  

In the creative campaign rankings, Colenso also picked up 16th spot for ‘Selfie Stix‘ for Pedigree and 26th for ‘The Child Replacement Programme’ for Pedigree.

DDB Auckland was ranked 27th for creative agencies and took home two rankings in the top creative campaigns with 35th for ‘Fight for Territory’ – Steinlarger and 67th for ‘Re:Scam‘ for Netsafe.

Scott Coldham, managing director at Colenso, says this is a great reflection of the hard work and the results its generated with our clients over the past year.

The WARC Effective 100 (the successor to the WARC 100) tracks the performance of campaigns, brands and agencies in advertising effectiveness competitions globally, while the WARC Creative 100 (the successor to the Gunn 100) tracks performance in advertising creativity competitions around the world.
