Auckland Council has pulled in the big guns, literally, to announce the City Rail Link.
A new video featuring Jerome Kaino, an AT ambassador, giving a run down of the planned railway and associated construction has been released by Auckland Transport (AT).
While the City Rail Link will be an improvement when complete, we can’t help but think the appeal of an All Black was used to soften the blow about all the disruption the build will cause in the city.
The City Rail Link will involve turning Britomart Station into a thoroughfare, and building new stations at Aotea Square and Karangahape Road.
This is not the first time Kaino has been used to promote AT. Earlier he turned on the charm to demonstrate how to use a HOP card.
