AUT Adschool to show off fresh meat at end-of-year show

AUT Adschool students are getting ready to present their portfolios to prospective employers at the annual end-of-year show, which will be held on 19 November from 5.30 to 8.30pm.

The event will be hosted at the swanky new Sir Paul Reeves Building, which was unveiled to the public on 4 March 2013. The 12-storey building was constructed to give AUT students a modern learning space, but it also doubles as excellent venue for events.

To promote the night, the AUT final-year students created custom-made barcodes and attached them to supermarket meat packages. This was done to give a literal representation of the phrase ‘fresh meat’ that is often used to describe new ad school graduates.

From 5.30 to 7.00pm the event will be restricted to students and industry insiders, but the doors will be opened to friends and relatives of the graduates for the final hour and half.
