Pure SEO has announced the appointment of Peter Mangin as the new Chief Product and AI Officer, effective from 28 August 2023.
Mangin joins the leadership team to further the company’s ambitions in artificial intelligence and product innovation. He will be working across the company and directly with the CEO, Richard Conway, to elevate Pure SEO’s offerings and contribute a significant technological edge to the business.
Mangin comes with a wealth of experience. From information storage to big data analytics, and finally to AI, his career has seen him navigate through various dimensions of technology. His rich technical acumen makes him a unique asset to Pure, as he brings a depth of knowledge that minimises technological blind spots.
Mangin and Conway’s collaboration began through their connection at the Marketing Association. Mangin chairs the Marketing Data Special Interest Group, while Conway specialises in the Digital Marketing Special Interest Group. What initially began as a discussion about hosting a workshop soon turned into a revelation of aligned values and visions.
“I hadn’t been actively looking for a new role. If it hadn’t been for Richard being Richard, I’d probably still be doing my own thing,” Mangin says. “To me, the most important things are being able to make a difference and doing good things with good people. The transparency and openness I’ve seen in Richard have been reflected in everyone I’ve dealt with so far [at Pure].”
Mangin will be working closely with Conway, as well as Britney Muller (a highly regarded SEO & AI expert based in the U.S.), and Janya Anderson (Chief Improvement Officer at Pure SEO) to roll out their vision for the future.
