Kia ora [firstname],
Happy Friday! In today's newsy, we have our regular global news roundup from media expert Antony Young who shares that the international praise is pouring in for Motion Sickness and production partner FINCH for their success at Cannes earlier this week.
Meanwhile there was a lot of excitement among team StopPress to hear that Whittaker's peanut slab is celebrating its 75th birthday in style with a Wonka-style treasure hunt for the 'golden slab'. Lucky winners get a VIP experience that includes a tour of the Wellington-based chocolate factory, while those who discover the silver ones receive 75 peanut slabs as a prize. The special bars will be amongst the standard ones in supermarkets nationwide from June 30 - so happy hunting!
The Comms Council have announced the finalist list for the 2025 Beacon Awards, with winners announced on July 17. Following their big win at Cannes, Motion Sickness are back with another campaign, this time with a collective of over 120-plus Whānau Ora providers to encourage more Māori voters to enrol in the Māori electorate. They created the longest ad ever in Aotearoa - a 30 minute roll call featuring Tāme Iti.
