With just a week to go until the Stoppies, things are getting busy here at StopPress HQ in preparation for the event on 6 December at Auckland’s Fresh Factory on Nikau Street.
The ICG team has been hard at work making the prestigious trophies in the factory.

As we’ve said before, this will be an awards event with a twist.
Tuxedos, hors-d’oeuvres, and wordy acceptance speeches have been stripped away for an evening that promises only cold beverages, an assortment of sizzling sausages and utilitarian trophies (which may or may not double as doorstops).
The winners of the night will also be collated in a special edition magazine, designed to keep our dear readers entertained during the summer months.
Finalists are requested to prepare five-word acceptance speeches for the night. Unsolicited verbosity will lead to immediate destruction of the winner’s trophy.
