Semrush names authentic digital as its Kiwi enterprise partner
Semrush has named authentic digital as its first and only New Zealand enterprise partner. This creates a local route for New Zealand organisations to access enterprise AI-search intelligence and SEO through senior practitioners.
This partnership comes after Adobe’s acquisition of Semrush for US$1.9B in April.
The Enterprise Partner designation recognises authentic digital’s established search practice and its early work in AI Visibility – Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO), also known as Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO). It also brings together Semrush’s global data and technology with local interpretation for New Zealand marketing teams managing increasingly complex search environments.
The search market
For years, search visibility was largely discussed in terms of a position on the first page of Google. That view is now incomplete. Customers still use conventional search, but they also encounter Google AI Overviews and ask services such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity to research options, compare providers and recommend what to do next.
“For New Zealand brands, a first-page Google position still matters, but it no longer tells the whole story. You also need to know whether AI systems mention you, cite you, compare you accurately and recommend you in the moments that influence a decision,” says Craig Martin, general manager at authentic digital.
“Ensuring a competitive advantage demands the best tools and data in the industry. That’s why we’re excited to be New Zealand’s first Semrush for Enterprise AIO Partner. Semrush’s data moat and brand visibility expertise help us deliver peerless SEO and AI Visibility strategies and clear growth for Kiwi clients.
“The partnership gives our clients access to enterprise-grade Semrush intelligence, interpreted by senior local practitioners who know how to turn those signals into practical decisions about content, technical, paid media and commercial priorities.”

Global-scale intelligence
Semrush for Enterprise brings SEO and AI-search performance into a broader visibility picture, and is used by companies like Apple, Vodafone and Temu.
Through the partnership, New Zealand organisations can access the same category of enterprise capability with local strategic support.
“We’re thrilled to team up with authentic digital in New Zealand. authentic digital has built a fantastic reputation for forward-thinking digital marketing, making them an ideal partner as we look to empower brands navigating the evolving search landscape,” says Alex Sibois, head of international partnerships & alliances, Semrush.
“By combining Semrush data with their local expertise, authentic digital is set to be a real thought leader for AIO in the region. There’s huge potential here to drive serious results for Kiwi brands, and we’re excited to see what we can achieve together.
From dashboards to decisions
Martin saya the practical value of the partnership is the ability to connect global-scale intelligence with New Zealand market realities, including smaller datasets, local language, regional competition and the need to make clear investment choices.
“Enterprise technology is only useful when it changes what a team does next. Our job is to work out which gaps matter and what should be fixed first. That could mean strengthening a page that already ranks, making expert information easier for AI systems to understand and cite, resolving technical barriers, or aligning paid and organic activity around the same commercial opportunity.”
