Canterbury agencies celebrate merger to become MintHC
Christchurch-based agency MintHC officially launches today, marking the culmination of Mint Design’s strategic acquisition of Harvey Cameron.
The new name and brand identity represents a natural evolution for both agencies, blending digital expertise with creative excellence to form a powerhouse in marketing and brand strategy.
Braided rivers
The rebrand is encapsulated in the theme of “the braided river” – a natural phenomenon that inspired the creative direction. Braided rivers are rare globally, yet Canterbury is home to some of the most iconic examples.
This metaphor symbolises not only the union of two Canterbury-born agencies but also MintHC’s ability to amplify brands through a diverse and interconnected set of capabilities. Like these rivers, MintHC’s individual streams of expertise converge to create powerful direction and momentum, driving the growth ambitions of the brands they work with.

Since Mint Design acquired Harvey Cameron in September 2024, the newly formed MintHC executive team, comprises Mint Design co-founders Shayne Moore (now CEO) and Alice Moore (now Director of Communications), Harvey Cameron co-founder Neil Cameron (now Managing Partner), and Alan Kang (now Executive Creative Director).
“This is the right time for us to elevate our brand identity and firmly establish our place in the market,” says Alice Moore. “Our clients can expect the same innovative thinking and expertise, now under a unified brand that better reflects who we are today.”
Shayne Moore adds that the combined agency now offers clients the integrated firepower to execute across a broad range of marketing disciplines – including strategy, content, digital marketing, web development, and emerging technologies like AI. “We’re here to travel alongside our clients, helping them carve their own path to success.”
Integrated approach
Neil Cameron, Managing Partner at MintHC, reflects on the agency’s evolution: “I founded Harvey Cameron nearly 30 years ago, and I’m incredibly proud of the impact we’ve made. Over the years, we’ve navigated significant change, constantly adapting to stay at the forefront of our industry. This new chapter with MintHC is a natural progression, and I look forward to seeing how our combined strengths shape the future.”
“We recognised the growing need for an integrated marketing approach, where digital performance and creativity go hand in hand,” concludes Shayne Moore. “This represents a refined focus and a stronger offering for businesses seeking a single point of accountability in their marketing strategy.”
