Edeka looks 100 hundred years into the future

German supermarket Edeka has done something a little different for its holiday ad with a sci-fi take on Christmas by looking into the future.

In a dystopian future in 2117, the world appears to be overrun by robots. One little robot sees a poster celebrating Christmas. This leads him to discover a newspaper with a story about a family who had escaped from the robot’s overlords. He then goes off on an adventure to find them and when he does, they invite him to join their Christmas dinner.

While it may be a bit out of the ordinary, it does contain Christmas elements, and in the end is really just about understanding and generosity.
