There's already plenty of fundraising going on to support those affected by the earthquake but hopefully there's room for a little bit more, so the organisers of the Promise to Pip campaign, an initiative launched by industry luminaries in support of cancer stricken RAPP/Tribal senior account manager Pip Mills, are asking those in the biz to get their tickets for the fundraising event being held at La Zeppa on Thursday 10 March.Tickets include canapés, champagne on arrival, a complimentary glass of wine or beer plus live entertainment and a live auction. Head to promisetopip.co.nz to find out more.
The website is also hosting an online auction with an impressive line-up of items including lunch with rugby icon Mils Muliaina, an Otis Frizzell-designed ukulele, pampering packages and return business class airline tickets.
In 2010 Mills, aged 34, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastic Malignant Melanoma with no primary source. Since diagnosis, she has been undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Ant Rainger, Peter Moore, Robert Limb and Simon Skelton together with the DDB Group, are leading the fundraising effort.
Mills says she is amazed with the generosity and enthusiasm of all the people that have pulled together to make Promise to Pip happen.
“I feel overwhelmed with everyone’s input and so thankful for the time they have given this project. The love and support from everyone has been amazing."
