Google New Zealand appoints Caroline Rainsford as country manager

Google has a new country manager for New Zealand in Caroline Rainsford.

In taking up the position, Rainsford replaces Stephanie Davis, who stepped into the role of country director for Google Singapore last month.

Rainsford will join Google from Latitude NZ (previously GE Capital), where she’s marketing and product director. Prior to this role, she spent five years in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa with Philips Royal Electronics as regional marketing director.

Google Australia and New Zealand managing director Jason Pellegrino says Rainsford is the ideal candidate to lead its operations and team in New Zealand.

“In addition to bringing extensive international experience, as an Aucklander, she has in-depth knowledge and understanding of Kiwi businesses and consumers. We look forward to welcoming her to the Google team.”

Rainsford shares the enthusiasm, saying it’s an exciting time for Kiwi business and consumers.

“I am looking forward to be working with our partners to help them succeed in their digital strategies,” she says.

She will take up her position at Google New Zealand later in the spring.
