Happy Friday. Today is World Drowning Prevention Day and the 2025 theme is "your story can save a life". Water Safety New Zealand is using the theme to call on Kiwis to share drowning-related experiences to help raise awareness for water safety, with a little help from a Bro'Town episode from season three.

Meanwhile, The Spinoff has announced a standout first quarter for audience engagement in Aotearoa, claiming the top spot according to Nielsen data. From April to June of this year, the website recorded the highest average session time nationwide at 14.3 minutes, driven by 5.44 million page views.

Outdoor advertising company JCDecaux have launched a new brand positioning that emphasises it commitment to visibility, memorability and impact.
