Kia ora [firstname],

AI is the name of the game today, starting with a Q+A I did with Matthew Daniels and Kellyn Coetzee, who were keynote speakers at IAB New Zealand's Emerging Technology Council's AI and the future of marketing event at the end of May. They share some tips on how to cut through the hype and how to use AI effectively in your workflow and your business. Meanwhile, Stuff Group's Joanna Norris' Democracy AI tool picked up the Best Use of AI prize at the International News Media Awards. WWP CEO Mark Read has announced his retirment after more than 40 years with the company. Independent creative agency Multiplied is also welcoming a new design director, Simon Redwood. Pak'nSave is celebrating its 40th birthday with a new style of advertising, via TVNZ, FCB and PHD, and DDB and New World have brought back the stickers for Smeg kitchenware campaign, with new items on offer this year.

All this and more below! Happy reading and if you have news you’d like to share, let us know. Email editor@stoppress.co.nz.

See you on Friday - mā te wā,
Zahra and the StopPress team.
