In news today, we have a round up from the Retail Media Storefronts event held by IAB New Zealand earlier this month. It painted a compelling picture of where retail media is headed in Aotearoa, and featured key insights from leaders across the sector, including keynotes from Roger Dunn and Sally Tobin.
Independent Media Agencies New Zealand has announced its first CEO: Simon Teagle, formerly general manager of outdoor advertising company Go Media. It's a first for IMANZ who has been led by general manager Kath Mitchell since it launched in 2023. In June, Mitchell was announced as the CEO of OOHMAA.
In media expert Antony Young's Around the Column, he reports that 'Orange is the new gold' as brands jump on Taylor Swift's album reveal on their social media channels. FedEx, Olive Garden and even Google were among the companies who borrowed Swifts neon orange and mint-green visuals following her announcement on Travis Kelce's podcast New Heights last week.
Before we go, Nielsen has announced a two year extension of TV measurement services here in Aotearoa, renewing partnerships with TVNZ and Sky.
