Kia ora [firstname],
This week, I had the pleasure of chatting with Vanessa Sheldrick and Paul Bowden about their new event The Worthies. Born from a desire to create community, The Worthies is a one-day conference and awards show that will be held at Parliament next March. It's an event all about shining a spotlight on the public sector and non-profit sector, creating a space where industry professionals can come together to share ideas.
Ads on Pads founder Aditi Gorasia is all about giving back, so of course her first billboard campaign had to include free period products for the community. On Wednesday, she unveiled the 'world's most period-friendly billboard' on the wall at Kol restaurant in Ponsonby, an installation made up of free, branded pads. Attendees were encouraged to take a pad off the wall for themselves, or a friend. You can read more in my report below.
Māori-owned, indepedent creative agency Run is bringing Te Wiki o te Reo Māori to life with a series of heitiki designs inspired by different whakataukī. The designs are being posted on Run's social media channels. Later, they will be made into fine art prints and gifted to Te Uru Karaka Newton Central School’s Te Whānau Awahou o Te Aka Pūkāea unit.
Finally, read about New Zealand's first-ever list of the 20 Best Workplaces and Contagion and Surf Life Saving NZ's new campaign.
