Tom Uglow works on the periphery of the advertising industry, bringing ideas that exist only in the imagination into the real world. Based at the Google offices in Sydney, he has already lent his creative touch to innovative projects such as The Cube, and he says there’s much more to come.
In June this year, Google Creative Lab unveiled The Cube, a six-sided digital video platform that can be used to simultaneously tell different stories in the same digital space. And in a pair of innovative campaigns, Google Play and Sony are showcasing how the platform could potentially be used for branding.
After last year’s issues, CAANZ gave the Axis Awards a good going over for 2013. And, as well as some changes to the judging and a new Getty Images Creative Exhibition, it’s also created a new event featuring six international speakers.
