The Japanese are well known having produced some of the best scary movies in popular culture. But what they aren’t known for all that well is producing scary films for the purposes of promoting health products. As strange as this might sound, Japanese ad agency Tokyu has developed a new short horror film with the aim of maximising the number of calories the viewer burns through while watching.

We’re sure by now many must be aware of Cadbury’s new fusion with its other product offering, Jaffas, as the new chocolate currently appears to be advertised in every supermarket aisle. And now a new TVC has been released by DDB promoting the chocolate which shows the mixing of the two products, but not in the way you might expect.

Success follows Kiwis from Cannes to Palm Springs

Only a few days after picking up a few lions at Cannes, Saatchi & Saatchi’s creative director Corey Chalmers found himself among the winners at the Palm Springs Film Festival. Pitted against over 300 entrants from across the world, Chalmers’ film ‘Whisker’, which tells the story of man trying to win a beard-growing competition, walked away with the prestigious Future Filmmaker Award. The film was a collaborative effort, in the sense that it was written by Chalmers and then directed and produced by Steve Saussey and Yoland Dewey of Stuff and Nonsense Ltd.
