A galaxy of marcomms stars—as well as a few comets and plenty of space dust—graced the Langham last Friday night to see DraftFCB clean up at the RSVP Awards and, ah, no-one clean up at Nexus. DraftFCB was told it had won the Vodafone account on Friday afternoon. And as if that wasn’t enough good news for one day, it also won the Grand Prix at the RSVP and Nexus Awards that night for the Electricity Authority’s What’s My Number? campaign.
Along with industry specialists traditionally seen in the judging line-up for the RSVP and Nexus Awards, the Marketing Association has confirmed several new faces for this year’s panel.

It felt wrong to be celebrating anything on Friday night, let alone excellence in response-driven marketing, but DraftFCB and The Ministry of Health’s ‘The Journal’ campaign absolutely dominated the RSVP and Nexus awards, taking home the RSVP Grand Prix and the Nexus Supreme Awards—the first time this has been achieved in the 23 year history of the awards—and eight other golds.
In anticipation of another year’s worth of world-class entries, the New Zealand Marketing Association (NZMA) has secured over 50 big brained experts, specialists and industry virtuosos to determine who will take home the metal at this year’s RSVP and Nexus Awards.
The New Zealand Marketing Association’s RSVP & Nexus Awards is the only awards programme dedicated to celebrating marketing that demands a reply, stimulates a conversation or prompts some deeper brand involvement that leads to a measurable-response. And marketers, agencies, consultancies and suppliers who have been involved in the development of a project or campaign that demonstrates brilliance in response-driven marketing are asked to prepare their entries so they can be recognised as leading the way in New Zealand marketing.
On 26 February, the best response-driven marketing campaigns of 2009 and the talented marketers behind them will be honoured at the New Zealand Marketing Association’s RSVP and Nexus Awards.
