Meridian has highlighted its support for KidsCan’s school programmes by using puppets to share stories of children’s experiences.
This week, casual Friday is set to be replaced by Game of Thrones and superhero Friday as Meridian Energy and Shine PR step up to the challenge after DDB called on adland and its clients to mark KidsCan National Mufti (or fancy dress) Day.
The ALS charity got a whole heap of cash by challenging people to tip a bucket of icy water over their heads. And KidsCan is hoping its challenge—getting people to don a Santa suit and do a short run—will too. So, to help bump up the numbers, DDB has laid down the gauntlet and challenged other ad agencies and corporates to get involved in the event.
Fairtrade schemes typically aim to help end child labour, address child poverty and give producers in developing nations a fair shot at a good life. All Good Bananas has been doing just that by helping kids in the El Guabo cooperative in Ecuador, but it decided it was time to try and help out some of the local young’uns in need by giving away 5,000 bunches (25,000) bananas this year.
