Dirty politics? Jacinda takes to Tinder

While Tinder’s main purpose is well-known, a number of brands and agencies are using it in interesting, slightly subversive ways, like increasing dog adoption or raising awareness of women’s issues. Now Jacinda Ardern is embracing the medium—for politics, of course—in a continuation of her Ask Me Anything campaign.

She told Matthew Beveridge: “I just wanted to find new ways or reaching people and making sure they can get their questions on the election answered.”

And, as of yesterday, he said no-one had asked her for a special meeting of the type Tinder is intended for.

Labour is working with Running With Scissors on its ‘Vote Positive’ election campaign. And it has also helped Ardern with her own quite brave and frequently entertaining campaign #askjacinda, which is a riff on the Ask Me Anything series popularised by Reddit.
