Hark! This is the first exciting instalment of Moving/Shakings for 2011, and there have been a few staff profits and losses at the Marketing Association, Insight Creative, The Research Agency, AWARD, MTV and The Pond.
The fingernails were being bitten feverishly late last week as the New Zealand marketing community used every last second at its disposal (and a few more on top of that) to get the entries in for the TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards. But all’s well that ends well: the number of entries has swelled to more than three times that of last year.
New Zealand’s big brands are bouncing back in 2009. Air New Zealand, The Warehouse, Frucor and Westpac are among the household names to be selected as finalists in this year’s TVNZ/NZ Marketing awards.
Of the 21 finalists, 16 are medium-to-large sized companies. Two are government agencies.
