Whittaker’s, Hallenstein Brothers, Cavalier Bremworth and Mainland NZ step up to the podium this week.

Cavalier Bremworth has undergone a transformation, via Federation, led by a new product and look. And giving the brand a new lease on life, the beautiful creative work is not what you would typically expect from a carpet company.
Cavalier Bremworth’s Wool-I-am originally appeared in a series that was launched almost two years ago and espoused the benefits of wool carpets over synthetic. This time the New Zealand carpet maker’s campaign, once again via Federation, focuses on the company’s unique ability to manage the quality of its wool carpet right through from the farm to the tufting plant in Auckland, to the customer’s floor, with its sheep mascot posing in Napier, having a cappuccino in Auckland and even driving a truck.
It’s not unusual to see marcomms work for the New Zealand market that’s been done by our dear Australian friends. But Auckland independent Lassoo Media and PR has been reversing that trend recently after being enlisted to carry out trans-Tasman work for clients like Cavalier Bremworth, Trilogy and, most recently, The Comfort Group, which owns Sleepyhead and Sleepmaker, amongst other brands.
Back in the day, as a young lad living with a flat full of horrible men in Dunedin, we (mostly jokingly) discussed the idea of investing in a flat sheep because it was such a versatile animal, providing warmth, a footstool, lawnmowing services, fertiliser, ‘comfort’ (for the Southlanders) and, eventually, food. And Cavalier Bremworth is equally fond of the humble sheep’s versatility, because they’ve launched a new campaign to remind Kiwis that wool is the best choice for carpet as it has already passed the toughest tests when it was on the beast’s back.
