VW keeps it in the family

DDB Sydney’s ‘Welcome to the family’ campaign to celebrate VW’s 60th year in Australia kicked off this weekend with a TVC that showcases the full range of models on offer—and, with an ad hoc cricket match, a helium-breathing grandfather, a nana meeting Bradley’s ‘special friend’, tree peeing and copious tea drinking, it also showcases the diversity of modern Australian family life. 

Set to the tune of ‘the animals came in two by two’, it gives a glimpse at what may lie ahead for many Antipodeans over Christmas, although it doesn’t actually feature anywhere near as many animals as the ad made by its British counterparts, which matched each model with a dog. 

In addition to the TVC, VW’s Australian website has also been updated to reflect the new campaign, and the new-look homepage now includes a series of fun interviews with the families that appeared in the 45-second TVC.
