Van Gogh fantasy comes alive for Airbnb

A Chicago artist is giving Airbnb users a rare opportunity to step inside a Vincent Van Gogh painting for the night.

Leo Burnett brought the painting to life by creating a life size version of the bedroom for an exhibition at The Art Institute of Chicago.

The Airbnd ad is listed under Vincent who describes the room as one that will “make you feel like you’re living in a painting. It’s decorated in a Post-Impressionist style, reminiscent of Southern France and times gone by. Its furniture, bright colors, and artwork will give you the experience of a lifetime”.

Vincent also lists a smoke detector as a safety feature as well as cable tv and WiFi – good to see he has caught up with the times.

The room is the latest unique sleeping experience on offer on Airbnb.

In New York a Netflix and Chill room promises all the necessities to bring the meme to life – including WiFi and a TV.

While in Brooklyn, the result of a snow storm and a few beers led some flat mates to rent out an igloo to those in need of a place to sleep.
