Netflix was forced to stop a campaign for its original show, Santa Clarita Diet, after a billboard featuring a sliced human finger took the zombie theme too far.
The programme’s storyline plays out around a mother-turned zombie (Drew Barrymore) who satisfies her craving for human by eating bad people.
The promotion of it has played with the idea of eating humans, but one billboard in Germany featuring a bloody finger took it too far, receiving complaints of making people queasy and eventually being pulled.
Dedicated campaign food trucks were also closed for serving food that resembled the finger.

Despite the pulled campaign, it appears Netflix has no intention of stopping its distasteful promotions—however, its giving a warning to those who are easily squeamish.
