The 2018 Webstar Magazine Media Awards finalist lists are out for this year’s 39 categories.
The Webstar Magazine Media Awards honour magazine brands, initiatives and individuals that demonstrate journalistic and design excellence. The awards aim to inspire innovation and empower commercial success by recognising and awarding creativity across multiple platforms. It’s a yearly celebration of the unique ability of magazines to engage audiences through the craft of storytelling.
This year, Bauer Media, ICG Media and NZ Lifestyle Magazine Group lead the way with the most finalists respectively.
Chairman of the MPA James Frankham says as with every year, this year’s entries were all top-standard candidates.
“We have come to expect a high standard of entries in this awards programme, and this year nearly tipped judges over the edge. The innovation happening in the category, the diversity of solutions and the myriad responses to the opportunities of the modern media environment really set our minds spinning. As an industry we are connecting with new readers in new places in new ways, and the best exemplars are world-class.”
