Thou shalt have faith in thy ideas: AUT set to unveil student work and 10 Commandments

AUT is opening its doors to the advertising industry next week for its annual End of Year Portfolio Show and this year, as well as viewing the student work on display, attendees will learn the final five Commandments of the AUT Ad School.

The invitation lists the first five, including 'Thou shalt not polish turds' and 'Thou shalt only ever use puns as a last resort and even then, hate yourself for it'.

According to Paul White, creative director/programme leader of Advertising Creativity at AUT's School of Communications, students left the commandments on his office door a couple of weeks ago and it was decided that was the invitation sorted.

Like what you see? Perhaps the writers of the five commandments are among those set to display their work in the hope of making it into the promised land.
