Restaurant Hub invites users to get out of cooking dinner in new campaign

NZME’s Restaurant Hub is hoping to encourage New Zealanders out of their kitchens and into the country’s eateries with a new campaign to promote its booking and takeaway services.

The online food and beverage aggregator for restaurant bookings recently added takeaways to its service offering and NZME’s general manager of brands and communications, Anita Waugh, says the time was right to launch a dedicated campaign to create further awareness of the site.

Running across radio, print, digital, outdoor and email, the campaign features a congregation of chefs who look braced to cook standing alongside a series of slogans including: “apologise for whatever it was you did” and “get out of cooking dinner”.

There will be video to follow the stills in July.

The addition of takeaways, for pick-up or delivery, to the service hopes to be a further time saver for users trying to decide where to go and looking at what’s available.

Co-founder Mark Gregory says there’s so much choice and quality in the market and consumers are becoming more discerning.

“Restaurant Hub has brought together nearly a thousand restaurants across the entire country, all in one place so that diners can search and explore the perfect restaurant for them by location, cuisine, price and category and can book a table or order a takeaway for delivery or pick-up, with instant confirmation.”
