Publicis Mojo’s Spread the Warmth campaign for the Auckland City Mission Winter Appeal, which pitted Auckland neighbourhoods against each other to see who was the most generous, has won the IABNZ Online Creative Award for August 2012.
Judge, Aaron Goldring, deputy creative director at Tribal DDB found the campaign, “an interesting approach to fundraising and I like playing suburbs off against each other. Unfortunately my suburb didn’t make the top 20, maybe next year.”
Fellow judges included Romi Dexter, executive producer at .99; Eugene Eastlake, creative director at Method Studios (NZ) and Siobhan McKenna, director at MWL Interactive.
“I love this idea as it brings out the whole ‘be proud of your neighbourhood’,” says Alisa Higgins, IAB general manager. ”Glad to see my hood is a generous one.”
Normally the winner receives a case of wine valued at $500 however, Publicis Mojo are doing their bit to spread the warmth by giving up their wine and donating $500 cash to Auckland City Mission with thanks to our sponsor www.mediaworks.co.nz.
