The Marketing Association has announced the divine finalists for The 2019 NZ Direct Marketing Awards that will be vying for a gong at the awards night in February 2020.
According to the announcement, the organisations and individuals on the finalists list combined sublime data insights, divine strategy and creative that was simply out of this world to perform direct marketing miracles.
Colenso BBDO leads the nominations from an agency perspective, with 17 finalists including four shared with Chemistry. Chemistry also has four nominations of their own.
Track NZ follows Colenso with 12 finalists, closely followed FCB NZ on 10. Hunch has seven while Loyalty NZ and Skinny Marketing both have six nominations.
Trevor Moodie, chief judge for the Industry, Channel, Craft, Special and Grand Prix Awards said in the announcement: “This year we are celebrating a wide range of entries including some standout campaigns delivering direct marketing gold through solid delivery of insight, engagement and data use. What is also encouraging is the proliferation of technology and data being used in clever and interesting ways and the increase in effective use of social media platforms.
Many of the campaigns have also effectively used video as part of the approach. Overall, it was great to see metrics and performance being deployed to better inform campaign results and elevating the role of marketing within business strategies.”
All category winners (excluding the special awards) will be honoured with gold, silver or bronze recognition. The gold award recipients in the Industry and Channel categories and Nexus categories will be judged by a panel of industry experts who will decide which campaigns showcased individual brilliance in direct marketing and ultimately achieve glory as Grand Prix and Nexus Supreme Award winners.
John Miles, chief executive of the Marketing Association wishes to congratulate all of this year’s finalists: “These types of awards really show the standard of marketing in New Zealand and it’s fantastic to see such deserving entries recognised as finalists. Thanks must go to the judges for the awesome job they’ve done and the time they’ve given up to support the MA community. Congratulations to all the finalists, I’m sure we’re all looking forward to the awards night!”
Winners will be anointed at the awards night on Thursday 27 February 2020 at Cordis Auckland.
