New decade, new faces at nzherald.co.nz

The new year has been rung in, and so have changes to the nzherald.co.nz team, with a new recruit and an increased focus on direct advertising sales.

The sales team, led by advertising director Donna O’Keeffe, now has a direct/retail sales arm, which reflects the growing demand for online advertising across all business sectors.

The direct team is headed up by Thomas du Chateau, who has been promoted to the role of sales manager. He is supported by Nick Carnachan as account executive.

O’Keeffe says the promotion of du Chateau to the role of sales manager – direct (his previous role was in direct advertising sales for the print side of the business) is testament to his work ethic and relationship-building skills.

nzherald.co.nz’s agency sales team has been further strengthened with the addition of Amanda Jordan in the role of account manager. Jordan was previously at OMD New Zealand as a media planner/buyer, where she worked across a number of key FMCG clients.

“Having Amanda join the team is fantastic. We have no doubt her cross-media planning and buying experience will translate very well to the online environment at nzherald.co.nz,” O’Keeffe says. “It’s great to be starting the year with a strong team and a structure which will enable us to provide even better service to our agency clients as well as forge and grow our relationships with direct clients, especially in the retail sector.”
