Netlink keeps pressure on with Tangible distribution deal

It’s been an unusually exciting few months in the world of magazine distribution, and the 2011 tit-for-tat has continued apace, after Netlink re-signed its agreement with Tangible Media, New Zealand’s largest independent magazine publisher.

Netlink already has ACP on its books and recently signed up Fairfax, taking the big piece of business away from Gordon & Gotch. But Gordon & Gotch then did some snatching of its own soon after and got hold of the consumer titles from APN’s NZ Magazines following an agreement with PMP NZ.

Netlink’s general manager Tony Edwards says Tangible’s portfolio of “high-quality titles with a strong focus on local content are a great fit within the Netlink stable”.

And John Baker, Tangible’s consumer magazine publisher, agrees.

“We have been with Netlink for a number of years now and the results speak for themselves, with consistent growth in paid sales across the portfolio,” he says. “We have a lot of respect for the people; it is a highly talented and experienced group that work hard for the category, both publishers and retailers.”
