Moving on from all-natural: Rebecca Purdy sells Bare PR

After nine years of owner and directorship of Bare PR, Rebecca Purdy has announced she has sold the business.

Purdy says it’s been almost a decade that Bare PR has led PR in the natural space “…and it’s been a fantastic time, and the ‘eco space’ has come a long way in nine years, with many more brands coming into the market on a daily basis.”

The company says it has led eco-friendly companies, including Trilogy, Karen Murell, and Go Healthy.

But Purdy says she has decided to sell the company to better focus on The Generalist Pr, which she started to represent clients who did not fit under the ‘natural’ umbrella.

She says she is sad to see Bare PR go but knows the company will be in good hands with new owner Katie West, who she says comes with 11 years of extensive experience in the media industry across marketing, advertising and sales roles. She also spent 10 years working in the FMCG sector.

“I feel very privileged to come into a business which has a real purpose and focus,” West says. “The team is small and tight knit with a mix of long term and new clients and a fantastic reputation with both clients and the media. I have big shoes to fill in replacing Rebecca as she has built a great business, which is unique and provides a personal service with great client ethics. It will be business as usual with the staff continuing to be fabulous as I find my feet in my new big shoes.”

Bare PR general manager Bianca Talaic will move with the sale of the company as will senior account manager Megan West-Hill and PR coordinator Sylvia Opajdowska.
