Several Kiwi brands were rightly fully recognised at this years International Real Media Awards. Favourites included EziBuy, Briscoes, Farmer’s, Ray White, Supercheap Auto and OOBE to proudly represent our campaign and retail marketing.
Now in its 28th year, the Real Media Awards, previously known as the Australasian Catalogue Awards, celebrated excellence in letter box marketing, publishing, direct mail, point of sale, marketing efficacy and more.
Only in the second year of having any Kiwi brands involved at all, many were celebrated for their hard work.
EziBuy was crowned winner of the Furniture, Bedding & Manchester award in the Home category for its EziBuy ‘Home Winter 2’ publication, with Briscoes coming in a close second for its ‘Savings from the Easter Bunny’ catalogue. The Kiwi brands took the accolade over fierce competition including King Living, Harris Scarfe and this year’s Judge’s Choice Award winner ALDI Supermarkets.
Department Store, Farmers, also had a successful year, being awarded Finalists in not one but two categories. Their ‘Made For You’ publication was a finalist in Women and Men’s apparel award category as well as in the Chain and Department Store award.
Edwina Neilson, Managing Director, EziBuy said it was an honour to be recognised as New Zealand and Australia’s leading industry Furniture, Bedding and Manchester publication.
“The team at EziBuy are excited to take home the prize this year and be recognised by industry leaders. Our catalogues are a central part in our marketing strategy, our customers love them, so it’s brilliant to see our Ezibuy Home Winter 2 campaign shine on an international stage,”
Held in Melbourne, the international event shows the dedication these teams have to delivering effective brand messages. Specially Kiwi company working to stand out against international behemoth brands.
Kellie Northwood, Chief Executive Officer, The Real Media Collective congratulated all of the New Zealand finalists and winners.
“With only the second year having New Zealand brands part of the Real Media Awards, it is fantastic to see so many celebrated for their hard work and dedication to effective real media campaigns. We are particularly excited to announce the New Zealand Media Currency development we launched earlier this year will be released in Auckland in October at an event where we’ll also celebrate the New Zealand entries to the Awards with greater Kiwi focus – so stay tuned.”
