Kia Motors NZ appoints new marketing GM

Kia Motors New Zealand has appointed former Jeep executive Greg MacDonald to the newly created role of marketing general manager.

MacDonald is a 23-year veteran of the motor industry, whose experience includes launching the Isuzu passenger and ute range under its own banner and most recently serving as national sales and marketing manager of Fiat Chrysler, focusing on Jeep.

McDonald says he has been impressed by the performance of the Kia brand in recent years and the “opportunity to come on board and become part of a very successful team was too good to turn down.”

“I am very excited by the current product line-up and promise of what’s to come in the future and my job is to communicate that excitement to more New Zealanders in the future.”

He says the fact that Kia is “still a very young and vibrant company, with much of its growth still to come”, is one of the reasons he came on board, along with working with a small, yet energetic team at Kia Motors NZ.

Kia Motors New Zealand general manager Todd McDonald says MacDonald brings considerable experience and knowledge to the business, in addition to strengthening the senior management team.
