Nielsen has released the latest figures for traffic to government and not-for-profit websites for the last week.
If may not look the most whizzy of designs, but Massey University’s website was the most popular last week with more than 60,000 visitors – three times more than the second most popular site.
With its TV campaign featuring that cute little mouse and appealing to our lack of financial nous, sorted.org.nz just beat out the Te Ara Encyclopedia of NZ for second place.
And it’s official, Wellington is doubly more interesting that Auckland, attracting more than 16,000 visitors to its site. Well done Christchurch Polytechnic for sneaking into the top ten.
Here are the top ten sites and their number of hits:
- massey.ac.nz – 60,923
- sorted.org.nz – 20,351
- teara.govt.nz – 19,528
- nzlive.com – 18,526
- wellingtonnz.com – 16,679
- jobs.govt.nz – 13,576
