Game changers galore as TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards finalists announced

The votes are in, the judges have judged and NZ Marketing magazine and the Marketing Association can now announce the finalists of the 2011 TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards.

This year’s list of finalists and ‘game changers’ sees regular contenders such as 2degrees, Frucor, Les Mills, Air New Zealand and the Ministry of Health joined by a record number of new finalists, such as Mount Cook Alpine Salmon, GrabOne and Powershop.

Speaking of the “diverse and high standard of entries”, second round judge Todd McLeay, chief executive at New Zealand Lotteries Commission said it was “great to see the application of classical marketing in areas where it hasn’t often been seen in the past, like B2B, as well as really fresh and innovative marketing in more established areas”.

This is echoed by the number of finalists for the Innovation in Marketing Award, with 17 entries in the running. On the flip side, it won’t be an automatic win for the solo finalist of the Sustainability Award – All Good Organics. The fair trade advocates will still have to wait until the night to see if they made the grade as a winner.

With the finalists decided, the awards night beckons to celebrate excellence in marketing thought leadership and business success. Winners will be revealed at the awards evening on Wednesday 24 August at the The Langham, Auckland. Ticket bookings can be made online at www.nzmarketingawards.co.nz
