(Former) Lieutenant Harrison reporting for APN duty, sir

APN Outdoor today announced the promotion of Kent Harrison to Sales Director. Harrison will lead the sales team of five and be responsible for the team’s introduction of new creative initiatives and production processes to clients and agencies.

During his 8 years with APN Outdoor, he has worked his way up from account manager to group sales manager. Originally Army trained to be a 2nd Lieutenant, he brings a unique set of leadership skills to the role.

General Manager of APN Outdoor Phil Clemas says Harrison was an obvious and unanimous choice for the position.

“Last year was challenging for most people in sales but Kent’s knowledge, attitude and approach kept morale up and ensured the best outcomes in the toughest situations.  The focus this year is on elevating creative options for clients and agencies.  With extensive experience in creative outdoor solutions that work, Kent is the perfect man for the job.”

Harrison says it is the creative freedom afforded by outdoor advertising that drew him to the outdoor medium.

“The physical structure isn’t limiting—it’s like a clean piece of canvas and you can even paint beyond the borders in some cases.  Through a new partnership with Boston Digital, we now have at our fingertips new production techniques that allow more creative opportunities for agencies and advertisers.  Taking this, as well as a new sophisticated production tracking system to agencies is our first plan of attack.”

Harrison assumes his new position immediately.
