ELEVEN taps into global behemoth’s PR resources with new partnership

Omnicom-owned Fleishman-Hillard has jumped into bed with Omnicom-owned ELEVENPR in an effort to expand its extensive global and Asia Pacific footprint to New Zealand, while “broadening both firms’ areas of expertise and geographic reach”.

“We respect New Zealand as a key strategic trade market within the Asia Pacific region, and in particular Greater China, where our firm already represents and promotes the New Zealand Trade & Enterprise and Comvita natural healthcare products,” says Lynne Anne Davis, Fleishman-Hillard’s Asia Pacific president.

Added to that, Davis says the firm has enjoyed a long history of collaboration with ELEVENPR’s parent, TBWA, across Asia and around the world.

ELEVENPR, which has grown year-on-year since its formation nearly five years ago, undertook a lengthy review of the major international networks to find out which one could best to take the agency forward, says managing partner Kelly Bennett. And whaddya’ know, it chose one that’s part of its global network.

“Thanks to Fleishman-Hillard’s integrated approach, coupled with its digital expertise and focus on talent development, they emerged as the best bet by a country mile. The strength of the firm’s operation in the Asia Pacific region promises to add considerable value to both our existing and potential clients,” he says.

The Fleishman-Hillard network includes 16 wholly owned operations across nine countries in Asia Pacific, specialising in consulting on corporate, technology, healthcare and consumer marketing communications, as well as digital and sports business, financial services and investor relations, stakeholder communications, public affairs, crisis and issues management.

It was named ‘Asia Pacific PR Network of the Year’ in 2004 and 2008 in MEDIA magazine’s Asia Pacific PR Awards and “Japanese Consultancy of the Year” in 2010 by The Holmes Report.
