Bauer is bringing ‘advertising philosopher’ Faris Yakob to New Zealand, and it’s offering industry folk a chance to come along to the exclusive event

Faris Yakob, an internationally renowned authority on communication strategy and technology, is coming to Auckland in April for an exclusive seminar, in association with Bauer Media.

Following his keynote address opening Mumbrella’s CommsCon Conference in Sydney, Yakob will wing his way to Auckland for this exclusive speaking engagement at the Herald Theatre.

Yakob will be talking about the most valuable resource in the media world – attention – and how all brands are fighting for it. But what is it exactly?

Yakob, author of the book Paid Attention: Innovative Advertising For A Digital World and the blog Talent imitates, Genius Steals, has previously held major global roles, including chief technology strategist at McCann Erickson and digital strategy and creative director at Naked Communications. Yakob and his co-collaborator/wife Rosie now run a global strategy and innovation consultancy, Genius Steals.
