Battle of the bottles

Montana Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc-1The StopPress towers have been inundated with new bottles of stuff recently. Which got us to thinking: what is New Zealand’s best looking bottle? Or New Zealand’s best looking label?

Dow design have given Montana’s labels a bit of a spruce up for Christmas and the new mountainous packaging will be on display on the shelves in the coming weeks.

Tying in with the 30th anniversary of New Zealand’s first sauvignon blanc, the updated labels “aim to convey Montana’s quality and New Zealand heritage”.

Montana Marlborough Sauvignon BlancPOM_16ozbottle_regPom Wonderful 100% pomegranate juice, with its bulbous form housing a tarty liquid that purports to help, among many other things, erectile function, is interesting, if perhaps a little soy-saucey.

Deep Origin Still clear cut bottleAnd Deep Origin, a new bottled water (apparently the most sustainable bottled water in New Zealand) comes complete with dimples and environmentally friendly packaging on its glass bottles. It can also be returned for a refund, recycled, sterilised and then reused.
