AUT students deliver Fujitsu creative with The Business and QMS

Auckland University of Technology students got the chance to muck in on a major summer outdoor campaign this year, thanks to a partnership with The Business Marketing Group and QMS.

The partnership’s aim was to develop a creative campaign to support Fujitsu Air Conditioners.

The Business managing director Ben Cochran says it is always gratifying to see young minds working with a real-life communication brief and real objectives.

“Once again, we’ve been very impressed with the quality of the presentations. The winning idea was the simplest of all presented, often in advertising the simplest idea is the strongest”.

AUT advertising and creativity programme leader Paul White says the latest campaign is the product of the fourth year AUT has worked with The Business.

“This year’s brief for Fujitsu was especially good because the students were able to make really great use of the digital billboards that have sprung up over the last year or so”.

The two winning students, Chloe McLeod and Miranda Lee, are both immensely proud to have seen their work brought to life.

QMS NZ insight and innovation director Rupert Fenton says the partnership is a great way to foster young talent.

“We enjoy working with AUT and The Business, ensuring the creativity and fresh ideas of students are offered a real-life advertising platform. Each year we are impressed with the campaign response and this year’s winners have designed a clear and relevant outdoor campaign ”.
