The 2009 finalists for the Art of the Envelope awards have been announced and a panel headed up by TBWA\Whybin’s Andy Blood will announce the winners on Thursday night.
Fiona Woolley from New Zealand Post Targeted Communications says: “Once again we’ve been enormously impressed by the standard of this year’s award entries. We’ve seen everything from an envelope made of concrete to a fold-up cricket set – it’s been inspirational.”
Categories include Mailed Masterpiece (includes 3D pieces that have been mailed or delivered), The 50 Cent Classic (creativity in a regular envelope up to Max-POP size that can be mailed economically) and Redefine and Redesign (work that redefines the concept of an envelope).

Ben Eady and Steve Longhurst of Ogilvy won the November online voting competition for their ‘Tux Kiwi Grill’ for client Purina-Tux.
