Ads@6: 1 April - 7 April

For this week's fix of Ads@6, we're sad to report the absence of two notable days of the week – Friday and Sunday. Come Easter, even days of the week deserve a little time off. But fear not, that still leaves plenty of other days of the week for your commercial fix.

There's an ample amount of music this week, including a little opera. If one tenor isn't  enough for you, you have the chance to see ten of them all at once. They'll even dance for you. Or perhaps a bit of Abba via the Bjorn Again experience is more to your liking?

Genesis Energy employ the acting talent of some clever painting pukekos, Fisher & Paykel tackle the enigma of the missing sock and, boy oh boy, the movie Boy makes its presence known.

Is consolidation the way of the future?

The tail end of 2018 brought with it some major announcements between media companies and the booming out-of-home market. Nearly two months since NZME and Go Media enacted their partnership and MediaWorks and QMS Media announced their proposed merger, we have a chat with media agencies to see whether the latest developments are a sign of things to come.
